Our church held its first annual Mission's Conference October 2 -4. It was a lot of work and planning, but all in all it came off without a hitch. We plan to do this every year, and it was initiated with the hopes of spreading awareness of and excitement for international missions. We had a pretty good turnout, but we hope to get even more young people and families involved in the following years. Easily the highlight of the conference was being able to have our dear friends, Chad and Julie, be a part of the event. It was an exhausting time for them, but they were really able to share their passion for missions and their call to Spain with our church, and it was such a blessing for the congregation to be able to meet them and interact with them. On a personal level, Chad and Julie stayed at our house, and it was so good to be able to laugh and cry and talk with them - reconnect with these dear friends that we hadn't seen since we left Dallas. So grateful that the Lord let us spend that time with them. Walton was quite smitten with Julie, too, and spent much time in her lap or being carried by her :) We are excited to see all that the Lord has planned for them in Spain!

Thanks so much for the sweet comments you guys! We had such a good time with you.
I am excited for CBC and the future of missions under Bill's leadership.
It was SO good to see the three of you and your church family! I've been thinking about you and missing you. Thank you for hosting the conference and for inviting us!! Love you, dear Sar!
Julie
